KFSH-D provides Tertiary Specialty health care services mainly to the population of Eastern Province in KSA.

Medical Referral must be initiated by secondary care hospitals.
Self Referral for tertiary medical care can be processed and accepted in limited cases.

Self Referral patients who seek tertiary medical care in KFSH-D may approach Eligibility Office directly with all required documents:

• Recent Detailed Medical Report including all laboratory, radiology and other related reports when applicable. 
• Clear Patient’s ID copy. 
• Patient/Hospital‘s Contact Information.
• Filled and signed commitment form.
• MRSA and Acinetobacter screen results for admissions.

Hospitals which need to refer patients with tertiary medical conditions to KFSH-D have to:
