No Image New Achievement at the Neuroscience Center

The Neuroscience Center at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam recently launched the neurophysiology intra-operative  monitoring during the surgical procedure as part of a multi-disciplinary approach followed in complicated neurosurgical operations. The first surgical procedure using this method at Neurosciences center at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam was a spinal cord surgery, where both the monitoring immediate results and the surgical procedure was successful. This success was not possible without the support and efforts of the nursing and anesthesia staff.

The Director of the Neurosciences Center indicated that this success was due to the hard work of the team at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam and their multi- disciplinary approach, which reflects the essence of the specialized healthcare. Furthermore, we can design our own studies, and develop this technology and conduct clinical research.

It is worth mentioning that the Neuroscience Center at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam is one of distinguished centers that have made the hospital one of the leading medical institutions in Saudi Arabia. Recently the center organized the Nineteenth Annual Saudi Neuroscience Symposium.  The number of registers in the symposium exceeded 700 people and the working papers varied to reach more than 90 scientific papers presented by professors in Medicine from the United States, Canada, Europe and the Middle East as well as Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries.
