Mission and Vision


Our Mission: is to protect the rights, dignity, welfare, and privacy of the human subjects in all research conducted by all investigators at KFSH-D.

The Human Research Protection Administration achieves its mission by:

  • Ensuring that all research involving human subjects receives the required approvals before research activities are initiated.
  • Creating an environment of respect for, and understanding of, the rights and welfare of research participants.
  • Providing professional administrative support to Institutional Review Board (IRB).
  • Educating the community about the ethical principles of the Belmont Report, internal research regulations, policies, and practices pertaining to human subject’s protection, and applicable national and international regulations.
  • Conducting activities to enhance compliance with the requirements of the HRPP.
